Saving photo history: Preserving orphaned websites
Minox 35 and Diax archives secured - the Club Daguerre offers infrastructure for endangered photographic history.
Orphaned websites or digitised collections at risk? Club Daguerre provides the infrastructure and expertise to ensure that historical photographic information is permanently preserved online.
The Minox 35 and Diax archives are a prime example: in the early 2000s, Gerald Steinbach (Minox 35) and Dr Peter Geisler (Diax) set up private websites - we now provide hosting and support, with no changes to the content; all rights remain with the authors.
Many thanks to our member in Denmark Leif Johansen for his selfless efforts.
