Mercure Hotel Mannheim, Zeiss Ikon anniversary as the central theme
Our main annual event in 2026 will be entirely dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Zeiss Ikon. The weekend kicks off on Friday with a guided tour of the Technoseum, followed by the keynote speech by our honorary member Hartmut Thiele. The weekend will feature talks, the general meeting, a collectors’ fair and plenty of opportunity to chat. Members are warmly invited to bring their Zeiss Ikon cameras. To mark the 200th anniversary of photography, the museum is showcasing highlights from the “Antonius Collection” for the first time, featuring glass plate and celluloid negatives dating from 1860 to 1960.

All year round 2026 – “200 Years of Photography”

This exhibition venue, which specialises in photography, will be commemorating the historic moment of 1826 throughout the year. Alongside this, an open, participatory project invites visitors to submit their own black-and-white photographs.
