A successful start: Our first virtual regulars' table for members

Our first virtual members' get-together on 7 March 2026 was a complete success. With 18 participants, the launch of this new format was a great success and showed that the desire for dialogue within the club is very much alive, even beyond the annual meetings and stock exchanges.
A particular highlight of the afternoon was Harald Lammert 's presentation on Vredeborch. The topic was met with great curiosity ("Vredeborch? Never heard of it!") and interest and led to a stimulating discussion. This was exactly the format we had hoped for: not a stiff online meeting, but a lively exchange with an exciting impulse, interested questions and good conversations among collectors.
Of course, the first attempt was not without minor technical and organisational shortcomings. This is hardly surprising for a new format. The decisive factor is something else: you learn from it, and next time we will do some things even better.
If you wish, you can view the recording of the meeting here.
We were particularly pleased with the positive feedback we received afterwards. They clearly showed that this new offer has been well received. The Chairman and Treasurer were also very satisfied with how the meeting went. We would therefore like to sincerely thank all participants: you made this first virtual regulars' table a truly successful premiere.
Following this encouraging start, we would like to continue the format. We are currently thinking of organising a virtual regulars' table every three months or so. To make this a lively and varied meeting place in the long term, we are looking for more members who would like to contribute a short presentation or talk.
We welcome topics from the whole range of our common interests: historical cameras, photographic technology, collections, special individual items, photographers, photographs or even small research and workshop topics. It doesn't have to be a perfect "big lecture" - often a manageable, personal contribution is particularly inspiring.
If you can imagine contributing a topic, or if you have any suggestions for future virtual regulars' tables, please contact the treasurer at: [email protected]
