Digital library - current status
Harald Goergens has extensively expanded the keyword list of the historical Photo Antiquaria editions. Over 80% of the articles are now fully indexed with over 20,000 expertly formulated keywords.
The entire collection is expected to be indexed by the end of the year, including the 2025 editions, which will then already be integrated into the database.
Your advantage: significantly more precise and comprehensive search results.
Improvements to the hit list
In the course of this work, the hit list has also been improved:
- The full article title is now displayed
- Results in which the search term appears in both the title and the keywords are automatically ranked higher and listed first
For you, this means that the relevant hits appear at the top of the list.
Our approach
We are aware that search results are not always perfect from the user's point of view. We have therefore deliberately opted for a rather generous presentation of results:
Better a few hits too many - than not showing an important one.
The final selection is left to the expert eye of the collector.
